Galvanised wire: diameter, coating and tensile classes
When purchasing galvanised wire, specify coating and tensile strength as well as diameter.
Sources checked:Understand the Material
Galvanised wire is low-carbon steel wire with a zinc coating. Diameter alone does not determine suitability. Specify coating mass, tensile strength, bending requirements and packaging together.
The ranges below refer to Özyaşar’s standard galvanised-wire family. Tensile classes are alternatives: a single wire does not meet every class simultaneously. These ranges are not an Alya stock declaration.
Technical Properties
| Property | Özyaşar product-range example |

| Diameter | 0.70–10.00 mm |
| Coating | Hot-dip Zn, 40–400 g/m² |
| Tensile classes | 350–500 / 500–700 / 700–900 / 800–1,000 N/mm² |
| Coil | 100–1,200 kg, depending on product |
