Understand the Material

Base steel grade and zinc coating are two separate selections for galvanised sheet. DX51D+Z is a grade / coating designation under EN 10346. Forming grades such as DX52D–DX57D do not have identical properties to DX51D.

ArcelorMittal’s DX51D table gives Rm of 270–500 MPa for 0.2–6 mm and minimum A80 of 22% for 0.7–6 mm. Elongation conditions differ for thinner sheet. The manufacturer limits the mechanical guarantee period to one month.
